Jindal Announces LED Assistant Secretary

Gov. Elect Boby Jindal Announces LED Assistant Secretary - It has been announced that Donald M. Pierson, Jr. will serve as assistance secretary of LED under incoming Secretary Stephen Moret.  A certified economic developer, Pierson has served as LED assistance secretary since 2005, managing an $80 million budget, overseeing a 60 person staff and training Louisiana companies on foreign market exportation.  Prior to his first appointment at LED, Pierson served as the executive director of the Greater Bossier Economic Development Foundation from 1988 to 2005, and as executive vice president of the Bossier Chamber of Commerce.
