David "Rocky" Rockett

David R. Rockett, Jr. serves as the Executive Director / President of the Greater Bossier Economic Development Foundation. Since taking over this position in the spring of 2005, the GBEDF has grown exponentially into many different areas in order to grow jobs, create investment opportunities and work with existing business partners in Bossier City and Bossier Parish to promote the positive business atmosphere for which Bossier is known.

As a graduate of the Economic Development Institute, Mr. Rockett couples his previous experience in commercial real estate and construction to promote and manage industrial and commercial development in Bossier. He has also been instrumental in creating thousands of new job opportunities along with several hundred million dollars of new projects in the community over the last few years.

Mr. Rockett serves on the boards of Barksdale Forward, Bossier Parish Community College Foundation, Red River Valley BIDCO, Shreveport/Bossier Film Advisory Board, and the Strategic Action Council. He is an active member of the Louisiana Industrial Executives Association (LIDEA), SEDC, ICSC and many other professional and civic organizations. He is a graduate of Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge and locally from Loyola College Prep. Mr. Rockett and his wife, Ashley, are proudly raising four children.



Jessica Monk

Jessica Monk has served as the Manager and Administrative Assistant to the Executive Director of the Greater Bossier Economic Development Foundation since 1996 and is a graduate of the Economic Development Institute. Mrs. Monk assists with implementing economic development programs and job creation efforts in Bossier Parish. She attends Kings Highway Christian Church in Shreveport. Mrs. Monk is married to James M. Monk, has four adult children and ten grandchildren.

 


Jonna Hearn

Jonna Hearn serves as the Communications Editor for the Greater Bossier Economic Development Foundation. She manages the Foundation's internet presence through monthly email updates and its Facebook page. Mrs. Hearn is a graduate of Louisiana State University in Shreveport and Airline High School. She is a member of University Church of Christ in Shreveport. Mrs. Hearn is married to Kelsey W. Hearn and the mother of one.
