Energy Innovation Haynesville Shale
The Haynesville Shale is a layer of sedimentary rock below the surface of northwestern Louisiana, southwestern Arkansas and eastern Texas where exploratory drilling has indicated a potentially large supply of natural gas is currently trapped. As a result, the value of land in the area has risen sharply and natural gas exploration has increased significantly.
